ANEZ's first fully improvised concert, recorded live at Vorspiel Festival in Berlin. Sound-driven giant TV lamps from the 1960s, controlled entirely by the music being made. A turning point toward the work they make now.
The recording documents a complete set of improvised electronics and processed sound — decisions made in the room, in the moment, for that particular audience. Photography by Barbara Antal, whose images document the performance with the same economy the music works in: high contrast, close observation, nothing unnecessary.
