ANEZ Experience
Collegium Hungaricum Berlin — February 2022 — BAYZ 360° speaker system
An improvised sound performance on BAYZ speakers — a 360° speaker system developed by Hungarian engineer Zoltán Bay. A spatial listening experience designed around the architecture of the room and the physics of sound.
Sound in a 360° system behaves differently from stereo or even surround: there is no clear front or back, no single point of origin. Movement through space becomes compositional. ANEZ Experience was built to exploit this — sounds were positioned and animated around the room, appearing overhead, behind, below, circling.
