The fish doesn't think

A live performance created in collaboration with Zönoteka art gallery and Zsolt Török, presented as part of Vorspiel — the city-wide programme running alongside Transmediale festival in Berlin. Vorspiel brings together venues, galleries, and artist-run spaces across the city for a week of performances and installations before the main festival opens.
The title is a fragment of a longer idea — that pure action, the kind a fish performs when it swims, operates without the interruption of thought. The performance explored that space: what happens in the gap between impulse and deliberation, between a sound being made and a decision being made about it.
Zönoteka Gallery sits at the intersection of experimental music, visual art, and Eastern European contemporary practice. The audience were close. The performance was built for that proximity.
